WELCOME TO THE NEW NYCR VOLUNTEER CALENDAR!!

Start here if you have questions about how to use the new system and register online. Now you can easily:

  • Search for open volunteer opportunities
  • Sign up to serve as an individual or a team
  • Track the hours you or your team serve

STEP 1: REGISTER ON OUR SITE

You must create a login and be logged in order to sign up to serve with us. Register here.

STEP 2: FIND AN AVAILABLE OPPORTUNITY

Signing up as an individual

  1. Go to the Volunteer Calendar
  2. Click an Open Opportunity where you want to serve
  3. Click Sign up
  4. You will see a page that says you successfully registered and receive an e-mail with additional details

Signing up as an team

There are some things to keep in mind when working with a team:

  • You will NEED TO KNOW THE NAMES of the people serving with you. If you do not and still want to schedule something, please use the Group Registration Request.
  • If you enter e-mails for members of your team they will automatically receive e-mail reminders about the serving opportunity.
  • It's best to have already created your team before trying to register for a serving opportunity.
  • Your team may include anyone who may be serving with you and you only register the specific individuals who have confirmed. 
  • You can have more than one team if you recruit people from multiple places (i.e. church, work, etc.).

Creating a team

  1. Go to your My Teams page under the My Account menu (must be logged in)
  2. Select "Create New Team"
  3. Enter the team name, description and company/group affiliation. Note, to enter team member names only without contact info you must put something in the affiliation field. 
  4. Add team members. Note: you can always go back and edit your team by selecting Manage Team.

Registering a team

  1. Go to the Volunteer Calendar
  2. Click an Open Opportunity with the applicable number of available spaces where you want to serve
  3. Click Sign up with a team
  4. Select the team with the members you want to register
  5. Select the members who will be serving that day
  6. You will see a page that says you successfully registered and receive an e-mail with additional details.

STEP 3: UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION AS NEEDED

If you need to cancel or if your team members change, please let us know as soon as possible by logging in and updating your upcoming serving opportunities on your My Account Overview page. This will help us ensure we have enough help at our outreaches and allow others to participate.
